Ball

Year: 1969
In the end of the 60s the whole world was in movement. Besides everything was very, very colourful. The society extended her consciousness and 400.000 celebrated on behalf for a whole generation her climax at the Woodstock Music Fair in August, 1969. In the same year Verner Panton created BALL, the pendant light became manifestation of the hippie movement. ball-lamps are based on Verner Pantons FUN-drafts from 1964. Made once in blue tones and red tones, different balls formed many-faceted luminous sculptures. From all these ball-lights the BALL is the only one that has survived. Rows of round plastic balls are so arranged, that they prove a perfectly circular whole again. By the way, every single one of the red, orange or white plastic balls carries the signature of its design master.
