Flowerpot Pandant Light, Table Lamp from andtradition, Design 1968 by Verner Panton.

Year: 1968

Simply and nicely, with these both adjectives the Flowerpot by Verner Panton can be described the best way. Conceived as a table light, cover light and garden light, the design of the light sketched in 1968 was distinguished in 1972 with the federal price Gute Form of the Federal Republic of Germany. Two hollow hemispheres are turned to each other form the luminous body. Besides, the lower bowl covers the luminous body and serves as a coloured reflector surface at the same time. This strews the light in extremely pleasant manner into the space. The Flowerpot, during the Flowerpower movement and in the year after the summer of the love originated, was first made by Louis Poulsen. In the meantime, the lights are reproduced by Unique Copenhagen in licence. The former material, enamelled metal, was substituted by aluminium. The colours at that time of the originals (turquoise, white, red, orange, polished steel or enamelled steel metal) were complemented by six other tones (black, transparency, violet, yellow, green and deep blue). Against it the Big Flowerpot exists in four (white, red, black and transparency), the Flowerpot Table VP3 in nine and the Flowerpot Table VP4 in five colours. With this light also garden lovers come fully at their expenses. The Flowerpot Garden, offered in five colours, does magic mood into the night green.
