As a re-design of the yamagiwa drafted in 1977 by Verner Panton 30 years later the ONION came on the market. From a huge number of varnished metal lamellae (white or glazed) vertically compound, her bulbous form reminds of an onion. Besides, the single stripe segments cover the heart of the lamp, the light source. Thus the lamellae are conceived differently illuminated what lets arise a mysterious depth. Artificial accompanying effect: The light is reflected and illuminates his surrounding in an unique way.
