VP Europe

Author: Bianca KILLMANN Posted in Lighting

Year: 1977

A whole light family Verner Panton lifted in 1977 with VP EUROPE from the baptism. Their foot form reminded of the Panthella designed already in 1971. Nevertheless, it is not white varnished, but chromium-plated. The lampshade of the pendulum lights and standing lights were made from oral-blown glass. The small models seemed like the screen of a jellyfish. In spite of her appealing, organic form VP EUROPE had something extraterrestrial. While the Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen had the Panthella untill these days in his programme, VP EUROPE is not produced any more.

Material: Glass lampshade, plastic and metal (both cromium-plate)
