In the end of the 60s the whole world was in movement. Besides everything was very, very colourful. The society extended her consciousness and 400.000 celebrated on behalf for a whole generation her climax at the Woodstock Music Fair in August, 1969.

A sculpture formed up from long-pulled spirals – the SPIRAL has more the effect of a perfect object, than beeing a bare light. Six years after the FUN, Verner Panton created the SPIRAL lights in support or advancement to her predecessor.

Mother of Pearl – the name the mussel light from the FUN-family has, is programme. Nobly seeming round mussel discs were connected by small metal rings to long chains with different lengths. That holds it dynamic. As soon as a breath of wind blows over the light and the panels start to oscillate, the surroundings are dipped into gentle sound plays.

Light and lounge table in one – ILUMESA of Verner Panton can’t be assigned to one certain category. Available in three colours (white, orange, violet), the multi function piece of furniture exists of two poured bowls which are simply put into each other.
